Veuve Clicquot Journey, Brussel
For the legendary Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin we created a hotairballon in honor of the tradition of ballooning and drinking champagne.
Tradition says that as soon as you land with a hot air balloon, you should drink champagne immediately. In earlier times the king of france thought it was such a brave endeavour that you could become baron(nes) of the land where you had landed. this is of course no longer the case. Now we lay a little bit of grass on the head of the passenger and pour a little champagne over it.
The balloon is made on the basis of a real wicker basket and the rest is completely made of steel, so that it is sturdy enough for transport and reconstruction.
