Black Bottle, Amsterdam
The Black Bottle brand was first marketed in 1879 by Aberdeen brothers Charles, David and Gordon Graham. They had a good reputation as tea blenders and used their talent to bring a powerful whiskey blend to the market.
After years of declining sales and a devastating fire in the distillery, Black Bottle was revived in 1990.
Black Bottle was sold in a black bottle until 1914.
Only in 2014 the bottle is completely black again and Black Bottle has been restored. We put that new "old" bottle in the "Black Bar" in an A to Z promotion. From drawing to actual installation.
